trxnav Posted February 23, 2010 Report Share Posted February 23, 2010 have used it on the edge of a wood with a few decoys earlier on but as the afternoon draws on you find that the birds want to land more central in the wood than there is not much point. anser2 Posted February 24, 2010 Report Share Posted February 24, 2010 I have done well with a magnet set up on a grass field just ourside the edge of the wood. A lot of birds are attracted to land in the trees above the magnet. I should add its a 1,000 acrea woodand I am the only gun. Lots of space for the pigeons to drop in , but the magnet does attract some within range , but it must be set on the downwind side of the wood.
