Shotgun cert

Hi peeps need advise about my shotgun cert.... put it in on the 13th jan 2010 got a conformation letter from the police (Staffordshire) on the 14th nice one, not had anything since... is it a good idea to chase it up or not bother and let it run its course? Ive not got any problems criminal records or medical probs etc. any ideas???

Mark, We are only talking six weeks,if it's a first issue and not a renewal it could take three or four months.Phone your firearms office and ask them what their turnround time is,they are usually helpful.

 

+1 When I put in for my FAC it was about 6 months B4 I had it thats after holding my SGC for over 25yrs.

i didnt hear anything for about 6 weeks. staffs police force.

gave them a bell and she said that it had gone off to the chap who pays you a visit,

with in a couple of days i had a letter requesting that i phone him to make a appointment, he came the next day and i had my cert the following week.

Hi Folks, just got back from Benidorm (weather was **** and we all had bad bellys on the way back :good: ) rang the police this morning to ask what was going on with my sgc they said its gone to an enquiry officer, so with a bit of luck i should have a letter or phone call for a visit. thanks to everyone for there help and advise.. and if anyone in the staffordshire are has any advise on what happens when they visit me like what they will be asking and what they will need to do like ive heard they try to pull your safe off the wall :hmm:?
