Cumbrian Posted March 7, 2010 Author Report Share Posted March 7, 2010 No - butt hook, to go under the trigger arm's arm pit. Aids location of entire rifle and perhaps its stability as well. It's quite a hefty item in aluminium and finishes in a plate that attaches to another plate that in turn is screwed to the stock. They were adjustable in a limited vertical way.
