Boromir
This subject has been repeated 100's of times in the past. If you can afford it go for BASC. There not bad just there membership fee's keeps rising while others organisations keep ther membership fee the same. Thats what they'll end up doing in the end force people to look else where and thats why you have a number of other organisations springing up, just like car insurance if you can get the same for less money which one would you go for? You'll get a member on here come along now and demand you join BASC if you go shooting as your not welcome if you dont. Vipa
As a member of BASC I demand that you join the organisation if you go shooting. If you don't you are not at all welcome!

Albertan_J
What type of shooting are you interested in? webber I've been shooting a lot of clays and have started on the pigeons again after a long layoff I'm also joining a game syndicate next year. The only thing putting me off BASC is the £66 membership fee seems a little ott.

If they cut the fee's by half and double the membership list do they lose anything? Edited March 15, 2010 by BFG

You may find that when you join the syndicate they will either include BASC membership as part of their package, or will require BASC membership as a requirement. webber

If they cut the fee's by half and double the membership list do they lose anything? Well.... yes.... If they double their membership they will have (potentially) twice the work to do, twice the firearms issues to deal with, twice the conservation issues to deal with, twice the admin load etc... etc.... and the haven't increased their revenue. How will that work?
Albertan_J
The lads who run the syndicate just want the guns to have liability cover. I'm gonna keep lookin on the threads and look at the pro's and cons that c3 is only £16 a year
