WGD
DO NOT BUY WELLIES WITH ZIPS!!! I bought Hunter boots the last time Sportsman did a job lot at £100 (green ones though, not black); stick a sorbothan insole in them and they are good boots for a day's work... and I'm afraid nobody will tell me that the sole on Le Cham's gives as much grip as the Hunter commando style sole. BUT, the zips clog with mud and debris (same as Le Cham's) and so need to be regularly cleaned and lubed... do you really want to have to "maintain" your wellies? Get neo Le Cham's if that's what you've narrowed it down to. I've just bought a pair of Seeland Estate wellies, 5mm neoprene with a cracking Vibram sole... well worth a look IMO for £120 (ish). The sole is the best I have seen outwith the Hunter commando sole, having looked at Le Cham's, Aigle, Muck Boots, Grubs Stalker and the newer Hunters. MC
I have a pair of leather lined Le Chameau, I have had them a few years and have had no problems with them. I have never owned a apir of hunters so can't really comment. Only that a guy I clay shoot with has a pair of leather hunters and they must make you hover as I have never seen them with the slightest speck of mud on them.
