Ferretertom
Well in the next two weeks im going to use my rabbit cage trap for squirrels in a woodland near a mates house. So do i find a drey and put the trap under it on the ground or anywhere? Was thinking of useing peanut butter as bait is this ok? How many times a day is checking the trap recomended? Try to cover the trap to make it like a tunnel. 3/ I use chunky peanut butter. 4/ You need to check the trap at least once every 24 hours to stay legal, but twice a day is best if possible. 5/ Record your kills on the PW running count for Grey Squirrels. webber
Dekers
I have tried a number of baits over the years and on the whole peanut butter is my first choice, just a thumbnail worth on a tiny bit of bread. It tends to be very effective around my part of the world!

Cover if required for security! 3/ Cheapest smelliest peanut butter you can find 4/ Whilst this is without doubt important and a very good idea it is only a legal requirement for Professionals 5/ whatever
