Cookiemonsterandmerlin. Posted April 2, 2010 Report Share Posted April 2, 2010 Just a quick update on pigeon numbers in oxon wilts and a bit of glouscestershire . We do not have the massive amount on any of my permissions that normally we have. The rape is growing strong there is drilling on any real size with plenty still to be done . Today I started off 1100hrs was soaking wet by 1300hrs went home for a brew dried off dropped merlin home . Had a stroll up a belt of woods 200 or so moved out but none returned for a 30mins but as the evening went on a nice stream of birds made there way up the thin belt against the wind. This the first time in nearly 3 months the wind has blown down the strip as it has been blowing up it from the east /north. Keeping the birds low heading homeward finished with 19 and last bird dropped at 1915hrs roll on spring /summer .
