cocker3
got a call from verminator69 on wed night asking if i wanted to give him a hand shoot some roe bucks (do bears **** in woods)dam right a would was the replay .so we arranged to meet at his bothy at 630pm on thursday the day came and the weather looked good. on the drive into allans shoot there were roe every where 12 on one field (photo below)must have seen 20 by the time i met allan .we set off and had a goot look round found plenty does but the bucks were still holding up in the woods but allan was very confident we would see plenty first buck was in a rape field some 250 yards from us so i was give the stalk in on it but to cut a long story short it never gave me a safe shot and time was marching on so we move on .we drove along the side of 2 lovely long lakes with a reed bed between us and the lakes at the end of the lakes we spotted some does and allan said there would be a buck close by and sure enough there he was in the reeds i couldnt get a shot from where i was so allan took the shot from the roof of his motor some 150yrd but it only gave a neck shot and he dropped it clean. then he said he would take me to where he had seen a lot of roe feeding on tatties the framer dump split tatties in the right corner of the field we drove into the grass field and drove round the left side of it .allan said we would set up on a large mound in the middle of the field allan went to have alook and sure enough there were roe feeding he told me where to sit. the field had a wall running from my left to right with the grass in front and the wood behind the wall and in the right corner was splitt tattie the farmer had dumped and rotavated some 50 yrds square . the wall had a hole in it just to the right of me .i was lying on the mound about 100 yrds from the wall and 150yrds from the hole (allan said just watch the hole gaj theres a big buck comes out there all the time ) spotted a young buck in the grass about 90 yrds outjust wandering about then roe started to come out the hole in the wall 1 every 2-3 mins ( 11 i counted in total) by this time it was getting dark to dark and was hard to make out the deer it the tatties so the young buck it was i waited till it was about 70 yrds and side on and took the shot and he ran about 25 yrds and dropped stone dead (if iam honest i shot him about an 1" to far back )ih have to thank allan for being a brilliant host and for giving me the chance to shoot some roe and god does he know his ground well sheers gaj btw the 2 roe weighed alland 39lb mine 30lb didnt have the camera when allan shot his so no photo of his sorry

Ferret Master
Nice pictures. However my tired eyes cannot be doing with that one mammoth block of text. Spaces and punctuation goes a long way. FM
