Ozzy Fudd
The bit where he puts the 4th cartridge could be deemed a magazine, as per the dictionary; "a chamber for holding a supply of cartridges to be fed automatically to the breech of a gun." I seriously think he is breaking the law here. the feed ramp isnt to hold cartridges, its to feed them to the breech
neil smith
Practical shot gunners have been using this technique for many years, in order to get an extra round in the gun before the start signal, its been termed "ghost loading" not all semi-auto's can do it, early M1 Benelli's can, & so too the Beretta Xtrema 2. later M2 Benelli's need some alterations to make it work. Remington 1100/1187 however cannot do this & if tried the gun will jam. As we use fac shotguns its never been an issue for us with regard to capacity & even then its only usefull in one division, the fixed max length of the gun in Modified Division effectively limits magazine capacity so getting an extra round sat on the lifter plate is a real advantage to those who can. It serves no real practical advantage to vermin shooters I wouldn't think & certainly not worth getting into trouble over. N
Kent Militia
Yes I would definately agree. I can understand why you might want to ghostload as a practical shotgunner but for hunting I don't see the point apart from the: wow check this out I can get another shell into my shotgun!
