bsamatt
hi, ive been using a magnet over rape this year but now the rapes growing and the peas are going in i will be moving onto the peas. my question is would you use a magnet ont the peas like you would over the rape, i woukld of but ive been told not to bother not sure why. Or is it just down the personnal preference and see what the pigeons do cheers matt
Cranfield
Some people don't use a magnet of drillings because the decoys and any floaters or bouncers you are using, can usually be seen for some distance. I have mine with me always and will put it out to begin with, or start without it, but add it if things get slow.
Cosd
I tend to start without it as Cranfield said, the decoys stand out on drill, if you can add a floater or two that adds movement which is better. But if I see birds are not coming in or birds in the distance are not taking any notice I will add it and see. racingfrank7
I have been out on some drillings quite a bit at the mo, and found whirlie gig to be putting them off, they would start to come in, then just as they was coming in to range they would avert, turned the gig off, but left it out, they still came in the same but this time they fully commited to the pattern.
