Dekers Posted April 26, 2010 Report Share Posted April 26, 2010 (edited) On site from around 15.30 to 23.30 at a very high security site this evening, suffereing from a major rabbit problem apparently. Never looked that bad from what I saw!...but do I care, they wanted it done, and I did tell them I didn't see that much of a rabbit problem.... Did the site survey and all the security checks over tha last few weeks. Well, the main shooting position was great, an extended balcony on the second floor giving excellent shooting out to about 160 yards, a bunny went down at that distance and a squirrel did at about 130 yards. The only problem was that only 3 more rabbits went down all night (and two were so small they were just fluff), didn't see any more, despite several trips around this companies 54 acres! So me, another shooter and a personal security guard ALL visit, accounted for 4 bunnies and 1 Squirrel!! Weight for weight I recon they were more expensive than gold! ...well ...you know what I mean!!! Funny old world! SSS Posted April 26, 2010 Report Share Posted April 26, 2010 You can't complain if your being payed I used to have a permission like that, the farmer used to say, come and shoot some rabbits, there's bloody thousands of them! At least I'm not paying I'm often up to my neck in mud, in the middle of the night, freezing cold and windswept, wondering what it was that I enjoyed about this malarky, every now and again a good one comes along!
