BountyHunter
I have been out lamping a few times now but I don't seem to be getting any better or more successful, less so in fact. I did a quick search for the phrase "lamping rabbits how to" and got no relevant replies so I assume that it is OK to ask, how do you lamp rabbits? We started off using a small lighthouse which lit up several of the closer galaxies but also phased the bunnies sending them pouring in droves back down the holes from whence they came. Having learnt not to go waving a 10000000000000000000000 candle light around what else could I learn? BH
Axe
There are loads of threads on here about lamping. Search on 'Lamping'. Even go back a couple of pages on airgun and you'll find 3 or 4 i'm sure. markbivvy
hi if the land is well lamped the rabbits will be a bit jumpy, try a filter, red, green yellow, blue. windy nights are better then still ones.keep the wind in your face.try coming at them from a different direction. do not walk the same land to often. some nights you just dont get em. some you do. the more you go the better you will become. SNAKEBITE
Keep a diary as to the conditions and amount of rabbits out. Include wind and moon phases. See if there is a pattern
BountyHunter
That is a good idea! I want to try to get it right as we may be getting permission to clear a local amenity, it would need to be done at night though. Thanks BH
Weihrauch
On rainy days they hardly come out of their holes. Only the very young ones do sometimes. The larger ones stay inside. Same goes for strong wind. W.
Fisherman Mike
On rainy days they hardly come out of their holes. But they do when it stops.... at least in my areas. They like to graze on wet grass. FM.
