jasper3
Well what a week..got my 1st permission walked around with the farmer, I had my air riffle and shotgun with me..we decided that the air riffle was the best bet just incase we saw anything... my intentions were so suss the ground out in daylight and to find out the do's and don'ts Ive never done any serious Pigeon shooting apart from a roosting session , so really need to learn about flight paths and decoying patterns the reason the air riffle will be used in two fields is the field that joins on has horses.. anyway !! went up again today on my own..got my permission slip signed :look: and then went and introduced myself to the neighbouring houses, just to let them know who i was....and what i was doing..this seemed to go down well got up to the top field and spent an hour just looking at a few possible places for a good hide and watched the pigeons and crows flying over.. they sure know when your carrying a gun I also noticed the pigeons were short in numbers compared to the other day..later the farmer told me they move on when the corn gets to a certain height.. but will return anyway..on the way back... a rabbit was well in site..so i bagged him... Ive got loads to learn and am sure soon i will be able to put up some good reports jasp
