ROB REYNOLDS UK
went out this and last saturday shooting pigeons over rape ,last week we pulled in to a field to see over 300 pigeon in the trees and on the ground so we set up over one hour we waited not one came back[there was no wind ] ..so we moved on to shoot a few some were else..now this saturday we were in the field at 9.30 there was a few flying about but most were in the trees waiting for the frost to go off the rape it was 11.30 gone before they even showed intrest in the rape so any body reading this page dont rush out to early if the rape is frozen and dont really bother if there is no wind, a dull and very windy day is whats needed the type of day were the wind bends your hide poles ..then they seems to come in really well i had the day last friday shot 40 missed 60 i must leave that drink alone at night pigeon will not feed on frozen rape .
