if i was the guy who came on here saying i shot 90 pigeon today with my shotgun would i not be bragging ? or would i be saying did`nt i do well! and im so pleased i did well i had to tell some one who would understand with out taking the **** ..seems to be the wrong place to post a post like this crocket ..there`s enough people out there that dont understand why any body would want to kill anything be it a bird or have four feet and fur on its back ! never mind killing some thing at ranges over 500 yrds ect we even have the hunter on the hunters backs over it..very strange indeed more of a under cover anti id say ! hunting is hunting dead is dead no matter how you do it ..just because you want to kill it at close range may float your boat using a air rifle to make things that little bit harder or you may feel the need to blow its head of using a hmr17! who is right and who is wrong ! both enjoy the hunt no matter how far or which rifle they use both are still hunting and as hunters we should all stick together not jump on others backs about it theres enough people out the doing it already ..if you feel the need to say you dont like some guy hunting at long ranges think hard about what your doing,your going out killing things and how others may well be seeing you.does crocket come on here and tell you what distance you can shoot at with your firearm be it shotgun or rifle or how you must go about hunting ! no ! so why tell him ..he is just a sportsman /hunter ,hunting how he enjoys it ...just because he can do it dont mean its wrong and its impossable ...hitting a target like a rabbit ay 500yrds must be like killing 50 rabbits you get the same buzz but you have only killed the one...

well we can see who the shotgun shooters are over the true rifle men on here crocket save your breath, them that truly know about guns or should i say rifles will back you up as they know that a bullet does no hit a wall at 150 yrds and drop out of the air, no it keeps on going, most rifle bullets will go out past 1,000 yrds with ease, yes you may well need to aim 35ft above the target and aim 5ft to the left or right to be on target but once you are on your on ..range finder /wind meter/PDA/ to give you the reading you are looking for ,then just diel in your scope and if your rifle & bullets are on the money the rest is down to the shooter..i see your not saying you hit them every time only a fool would say that ,but you hit them now and then, a miss is a miss it will live for another day ,we all miss some times but as long as you have a safe back stop i see no harm. any rabbit being hit any where by a .223 b,tip bullet is as good as dead as the bullet will still be doing over 2,000fps at 500 yrds alot more speed than any shotgun or rimfire bullet will ever do even if it was at point blank range it would still be going faster. theres plenty of long range shooting on u-tube some guy on there is shooting rabbits at over 600yrds daily in the uk using a standed .223 not a 22-250 like yours which we all know is that little bit better ..this guy is only a man that loves his long range shooting ..nothing more ! been up there today with crocket to have a look and not to shoot ,still well over 1,000 pigeons on the rape farmer is trying to put the birds in one area for you guys by putting white flags on some fields ..will make life a lot simpler ...these pigeons are not going far some are just rolling down the fields which is a good sign ...have fun

i use lamb plucks ,but the best way to do it if the farmer dont want to see stuff on his land is chip oil from the chippy ..just pour it on the land it will soak in ..fox will find it but farmer will not ..im foxing 4 nights a week ..going now tat tar

im just putting this up for a mate cz 22lr comes with scope, mounts,parker hale mod 3 metal mags 2x10 shot 1x5 shot mag plus sling..its seen no work really its only done about 200 shots from new 2yrs ago thats why its going as its just picking up dust £300 buys it ...it belongs to a mate so ring mick ********** staffs sundays or after 6pm week days ..he does have some ammo for the rifle and will sell that seperate...face to face only .. ring mick on 01889 566475 staffs

use kroil for carbon .sweets 7.62 for copper removel 15mins tops for sweets to be left in barrel..

pigeon shooting is not clay shooting ..clays dont speed up or turn like a pigeon or even drop like a pigeon ...pigeon coming in to land ie..wings tucked up aim on the nose or about 1ft in front should do it if its about 20yrds out ..pigeons going away blank them out and shoot as most people will shoot the pigeons feet if they put the beed on the bird .pigeons about 30 to 35 yrd left to right about 1 1/2 feet ..if you at any time shoot at a bird and it speeds up the shot was behind the bird ,if it kind of stops ,slows down or its neck goes in the shot was in front of the bird so give less lead ....use both barrels if at any time the bird is still flying you may have well hit it with the first shot but you need it dead ..use number 5 shot shells 32grm for pigeon and crows and fur ..

its not the way you dress that gets you on its the way you come across to the farmer .find out the farmers name ..call him mr smith if thats his name ..tell him you want to do the pest control on his farm for free and will come any time he needs you ..better if you already shoot next doors land and tell him all the names of farms you all ready have he may know one or two of them ,it will help .write down all the farms you have in a note book and show him names telephone numbers ..me and my shooting buddy have got 16 farms since november last year and climbing we have over 30 farms and try and go on them at least once every two weeks ..farmers like to see your doing good but not over doing it ..dont kill any thing that he says he wants leaveing ..hares are one round are way they like to see them others dont ..game birds leave well alone ..your there to kill pests not game ..we all ways phone before we go on there land so tell him you will ring him first to see if its ok to go on ..ask were you can park your motor dont go driveing his fields when its wet ..any thing like fallen stock ,cows giving birth ,fly tipping ect let him know as soon as *** they love it ..look after it and you will get a good name and more will come with out asking ..

you can only use a shotgun of some body if the lender is the land owner of the land .ie farmer ,keeper..but he has to be by your side at all times this goes for rifles as well ..
