Nel
Is it possible to remove the kick-off system? I got the gel pad off but ventured no further? The wife likes the gun but it is a bit long for her. Any help would be great if it is doo-able

MC
The kick off system just unscrews and comes out as one unit. Or at least it did on my friends Extrema 2. The pad then fits back on in the same place.
Mr_Logic
And does that then result in a nice short LOP?
MC
Yes because you lose the length of the kick off from your stock. It was to short for me, It takes it down to about 12" LOP
Mr_Logic
Fantastic, might be very good for my other half who is 5'5" and slightly built :-)
Nel
BUMP Yes i take a while to get round do doing things. Im sitting here with the gel pad off & the two screws out and i can't get the thing out! I'm not wanting to put too much force into it...not that I can get a grip on anything! Has anyone worked this out yet or is it not possible. Any insight would be great.
mickmep
to get the kickoff off my extrema you have to remove the allen grub screw under the stock, in the place where the sling swivel goes. if there is no swivel there is a rubber gromet cover over the grubscrew. think it was 6 or 8mm allenkey to remove. not sure you'll be able to fit the butt ppad without the kickoff though, the pad fits onto the end of the kickoff. when the kickoff is removed you have a pretty hollow stock at the butt pad end. also the stock rear shim fits into the kickoff. BlaserF3
According to the manual the sling swivel needs to be removed http://www.docstoc.com/docs/29541543/Beret...-Shotgun-Manual pic #37 Who knows I could be right....but there again. Nel
Is the Urika2 the same stock as the extrema2?
mickmep
the kickoff is easy to remove, when you find the grubscrew underneath. take it off and have a look inside. i dont think you'll be able to make the lop much shorter without quite a bit of work. make sure there isn't a spacer fitted to the kickoff though, there is one available. the extrema 2 lop is 14 1/4" standard (shortest) if i remember correctly but can be extended by 1/2" with the shim. you need to remove the grubscrew underneath and the nut that runs through and bolts the stock to the action then the kickoff will pull off (after unseating the rubber caver from the stock). didn't have any problem removing or putting mine back on. Nel
One step closer... ...I have removed the swivel & the screw that was underneath where it popped in.....and it wont budge!
mickmep
you've removed the grubscrew underneath ? you need to remove the kickoff pad pull the wires down and it just comes off. when the pad is off you need to remove the nut that holds the stock on (13mm) that you can see inside the kickoff. if both of these are removed its probably just the rubber sleeve thats holding it on, it tucks in between the stock end and kickoff, give the kickoff a gentle pull when the grubscrew and stock bolt are removed. Nel
I don't have a tool to remove the nut inside the stock. I'll go and see if I can borrow one! Thanks for all the help.
mickmep
you wont get it off without removing that one you just need a standard 13mm socket, nothing special. when you do it back up make sure its tight but not stupid tight, sometimes if you overtighten the stock bolt it can lead to feed problems, stretches something from what i've been told. sensible tight only is required. have a fel how tight it is before you undo the nut. may not be a problem with beretta's but i've heard of some that have problems if overtightened.
