Hello once again!

further to my recent post on here i've been offered a mauser in 7.62.

only problem is it's in bits, barrel separated from action etc, in other words a project, now i know not a lot about building it back together, does anyone have the knooohow and care to share? Or should i avoid it.

i was just dreaming about having something like this i could brag about to my mates, but how technical is building a rifle? and am i at risk of loosing a limb so to speak?

thanks in advance,

gram..

Any competent machine tool engineer should be capable of building a rifle from scratch. Given the availability of a suitable lathe. Hell, just look as some of the twonks that claim to be able to do it and charge people good money for it. I know ex miners, coppers, pipe welders, taxi drivers, photographers, civil engineers, forestry rangers, car mechanics, plant fitters, librarians, and engineering machinists that do it to some degree of expertise of other.

The question I would be asking is why is the Mauser in bits in the first place. :good:

Hi mate, apparently it needed a new barrel, the guy has bought a trigger kit for it and a new stock, just needs putting together.
