hyflier
Can anyone advise me how to remove the front screw from the above please. This one is extremely tight and I'm worried I'm doing something wrong. I assumed it was a right hand thread but don't want to force it any more. Thank you,
Dunkield
They are normal right hand threads but the slot is very fine, the thread is also fine which may explain why it is stuck. You either need a turnscrew (proper tool) or to grind a wide flat blade tip to fit. Take you time, if you knacker it, they are quite dear to replace once you pay for Edgar Bros to post it to your RFD
hyflier
Thanks for the reply, I have an old wide bladed screwdriver which I can grind down to fit. I don't think I'm going to try too hard this time, if it wont move, then I'll ask my friendly gunsmith to remove it for me Cheers Dunkield, all done, it gave up with a loud crack .... No damage :( Edited June 3, 2010 by hyflier
