Westcountryman
I recently picked up a Brno Mod 2-E-S and a Parker Hale moderator I took it into the field to zero and at 30 yards, the rifle was ok but with the mod fitted, it was 2 yards off to the right. I took the mod apart, cleaned it and re-assembled it, using a 6mm brass rod as a guide. When I look down the barrel, with the mod fitted, I can see a small black crescent on the LHS. No amount of stripping and wiggling the baffles seems to make any difference. The crescent isn’t there with the mod off and when I look down the mod when not fitted, it appears to be ok. Does anyone have any tips or advice to get it sorted?
Pastiebap
Did the mod not come with it's own guide-rod? I know mine did, although at times I find that every so many rounds I need to give it another nip to tighten it as it seems to wander, and I don't want to overtighten it and wreck my threads. Beardo
have you got the baffles the right way round?
Westcountryman
It didnt come with a guide rod, so I cut a piece of brass rod off instead I think the baffles are in correctly, they are like this. I don't really want to buy another moderator just yet, but if I do, I'll go for a SAK.
