Annandale Estates Stalking

Has anyone any experience of stalking Fallow on Annandale estates near Dumfries?

 

I think the stalker is called Bert Robertson.

 

If so would you reccomed them? Was the service good? What were costs like etc?

Not been myself but I know people who have. May seem a strange thing to say but from what I have heard it is too easy, the place is heaving with Fallow and you can almost shoot as many as your wallet will allow. For instance a game shooting mate laughs at me for spending two days stalking for one roe buck on my syndicate ground whereas he can shoot half a dozen Fallow in an outing at Annandale. Costs I am not sure of, reasonable enough I think for a cull animal but remember multiple kills are likely so the costs do stack up, especially if you take a 'trophy' animal.

Thanks for the replys! I have been in contact with the stalker but have heard mixed reports!

I have stalked with Berti on numerous occassions and can highly recommend him. The estate is stuffed with fallow and he will accomadate your wallet as you wish. He is a good lad and you will gain from the experience in superb countryside.
