M ROBSON
mpk, Whatever you decide I would buy it from the US. I got a Mec steelmaster + shipping + import tax from Bucks Run in the states for less than it would have cost me to buy from Clay and Game in England! US Ebay is even better if you can find what your after. A very good source of components is SiArm in Italy, very easy to deal with. You can get plenty of good steel loads to try. I've used a 13/8oz BBB in a 3.5" cheddite loaded with Alliant Steel going at 1600fps, patterns great through my .700" terror choke and will kill geese a long way out. We also use a wildcat 21/4oz lead load in 3.5" using Hogdens Longshot which goes out at 1250fps and will kill inland flighted geese ut to 60 yards. It's been to Birmingham to pressure test and is quite low! Cheers, Mark.
mikee
I bought all my mec machines of US ebay, I have 4 600jrs and a 10g steel master, most were about £30 plus shipping, they are a bit of a bitch to set up so when I got a load I was happy with and set the machine I dont change it, just buy another machine when I get a new load, the 10g machine has been set the same now for about 6 years, 40g of steel "T" in a RSI sam1 wad powered with CSB0, i found i could get more velocity than with Alli steel, it does about 1700fps and will go through a pink at 45yds, and kill them clean at 60+, I prefer #3 steel in 70mm and 76mm for duck and #1 or BB for geese, mikee

luvbus
This is what I did for .410 Sitsinhedges, Out of interest, would you be up for making a set of similar 410 reloading tools for suitable remuneration? Rich
