  1. Problem is worse these days as most wheels are now 'hub centric' ie, the wieght of the car is taken by a tight fitting lip that engages the centre of the wheel rather than by the studs on older cars/landies etc.
  2. As said word of mouth is the best way, just like finding a permission. Get some lessons under her belt & a bit of experience. There are plenty of ponies out there that have been outgrown that owners want someone trustworthy to ride, often for nothing. Best way to find out about these is through pony club or from somebody who already goes, most of the ponies have been passed round the kids as they grow and are well known by the parents, if you do decide to buy one at a later date it takes most of he guesswork out of getting a good one. My eldest daughter started when she was five and she absolutely loves it. I'd much rather she was out in the countryside, keeping fit & active enjoying life rather than being stuck in front of the telly! Don't be put off, ATB, Rich

  8. No worries. I might be able to do something sooner as I sliced open my arm and had a few stitches changing a hub on the D3 and they are not keen on me going back to the rig until they are out. Rich
  9. I will take the remaining 3 DVD's . Can you PM me your Paypal details. Rich
  10. As long as you are not in a hurry, I can give you a hand Joe. I am due back at work on Sunday for 3 weeks but can help after that. Rich.
  11. A few of the old guys on our syndicate have bought a mixture of Polaris, Kubota & Kawasaki UTV's as they were facing having to pack in as they were struggling to walk round the very steep hills & boggy ground on the shoot. They have proved very effective and are a lot more practical than a quad having a load bed to cart stuff around and 3 or 6 seats. Brilliant off road!! The keeper uses one for vermin control throughout the year for lamping etc. Very handy.
  12. If there is a bit of discount for all four I'll take them. Rich Doh, beaten to it!!
  13. Is it up at the Willerby end then Richard? Will be a lot easier to go to if it is. Only real option before was to go on the train!! Rich
  14. No worries, is Duncan's worth a look then? I tend to end up going to Pocklington or York....
  15. Missed this, I could have spotted you a box or two if needed. You are in Bishop Burton aren't you?
  16. Top motor, love mine. EGR valves are an issue at some point for everybody, pre 2007 models you can blank them off easily. Earlier ones are half the road tax for the same spec vehicle. Great off-road and a tighter turning circle than a '90'. All you could ever want to know about the D3:- Disco3.co.uk Rich
  17. Another vote for Black Islander👍
  18. Discs landed ok. Cheers bud, Rich
  19. I'll take em. Let me know your payment details etc. Regards, Rich
  20. I've got a Renault Trafic that I take shooting, handy for keeping out prying eyes and great for carting round loads of kit. There are not many spots where I have to take the Disco cos then van cannot get there, you just take a little more care
