hodge911
after putting a wanted add on here and other forums to no avail and the dreaded fleabay i couldn,t get a travel box for the swb shogun so i set about making a one to fit the limited boot space . i have fitted a couple of cooling fans that will plug into the power outlet in the boot there is a top to fit over the fans that attaches to the blocks you can see in the pics the gaps will have filter mesh fitted to them . i still have to cut and mesh some vent holes in the rear and the sides and i still have to put the grill mesh on the doors . i intend to put those self adhisive floor tiles inside so they can washed/disinfected as required . only problem i have at the min is decideing on what colour/finish to put on the outside. any comments welcomed. it looks small in the pics but it is the full width of the boot and the top of the box is level with the top of the rear seats in my way of thinking jess travels in the boot space [well that was until she found she could climb over the rear seats] so she has the same space but in a box . JDFrain
Looks good, like the idea of the fans. Made a few boxes recently and i have been using Ronseal quick drying woodstain (water proof ) colour - Walnut. gives a nice finish and seems to put up with dogs jumping in and out etc. JDF
