skinny
Went out tonight to a local field in the village with my .22 rifle. Plan was to lay up in a hedge which had a good view of a long overgrown ditch and shoot the rabbits which came out before the light disapeared. I had brought my lamp as well which i had on a small battery so as it got too dark i could switch to that and have a look around teh rest of the fields. There are three in total, all grass, probably about 30 acres each. One is heavily overgown and the rabbits cant be seen but the other two have large spots which have been kept well short by the rabbits and make for easy spotting. Started about 7.30 and got in position. After about an hour i had six in the bag and lost two in the hedge, could have been a few more but i missed a few really close ones and there were quite a few too far away. As it got dark it started to rain so i packed up and let the rest be. I think they are all this years young ones.
Frenchieboy
Nice one mate. I went out yesterday evening in the hope of laying out for Charlie but unlike you I had just got out in the middle of nowhere and made myself comfortable when the skies opened up and I got caught out in a masive thunder storm. No foxes for me and home not the happiest of eggs! Good luck mate, nice result for you by the looks of it! B) :yp:
