Guest topshot_2k
You obviously have deeper pockets than most of us to even consider other non toxic options. The only blinkered people on here are those that refuse to believe that modern steel shot loads can be safely used in most shotguns as per the cartridge manufacturers recommendations. You really ought to wake up and smell the coffee. Thought it was ALL shotguns earlier? Can you provide me details of the testing to backup your claims that its suitable for all guns? MC
You obviously have deeper pockets than most of us to even consider other non toxic options. The only blinkered people on here are those that refuse to believe that modern steel shot loads can be safely used in most shotguns as per the cartridge manufacturers recommendations. You really ought to wake up and smell the coffee. Not at all, We owe it to our quarry to use the most efficient way of dispatching them as possible. That doesn't mean dicking around with ineffective loads that can be used through any gun. I am a WILDFOWLER and therefore use the best available, I purposely bought a gun that could handle anything. I use steel to very good use, but I do not ponce around with 32gr of 4's unless shooting a flight pond. I favour remington Nitro steel in 3" and 3 1/2" on the foreshore in a shotsize that will kill cleanly. I have used Hevishot and ITM in the past and nowadays it still has the edge but steel has got so much better. Just because a cartridge manufacturer says a cartridge is OK in any gun it doesn't necessarily mean it is OK. The gun maker says it isn't and I know which one I would take notice of.
