DoubleTap
Yes i know its late to do a post on something that occured 9 months ago however i thought some of you might like to have a look at a few pictures of a 3 day holiday I had with my brother, dad and a few friends to scotland. We didnt shoot loads however it was still a great experience. We went with a goose guide who is based around Loch Leven, Sporting Safari Scotland. We stayed up there for 3 days, each morning getting up for a goose flight before coming back to the Inn to have a massive fry up. We then changed cartridges from goose to pheasant and then headed out to a friends estate about 1 hour north of Loch Leven to do some rough shooting. We all shot a few pheasants and as a bonus I shot my first ever snipe. Afterwards we shot on a flight pond. There was alot of low cloud making it difficult for the ducks to find their way. A scein of pinks were flying around at the time very low as the mist was stopping them from flying high. A goose call would have brought them in as good as gold had we had one with us at the time. We shot about 4 teal on this pond that night, could of had alot more however tehy were flying low against the dark background proving difficult to see as they were coming in. The holiday was awsome giving excellent sport and fun all around and deffinately recommend doing it if any of you are considering going. The only draw back was the fact that we were always sharing a field with several other people on it shooting at geese that were coming into our decoys Anyway, it was still a great experience that i will never forget. Here are a few pictures: The final bag on Day1 If you look closely you can see thousands of geese heading for Loch Leven, their roost. The decoy pattern on Day1 All of us laying on a bank on the last day waititng for the Geese to rise off the Marsh over the road. Apologies if the pics are a bit small, I couldnt get it 640x480, it said there wasnt enough space or something. Ill probably add a few pics later, try and get them a bit bigger. bigt1754
Just on a side shoot, if you're having problems resizing pics, I use the one from the microsoft web site here Its about 3/4 of the way down the page, and the download link is on the right of the page. You just right click on the pic you want to resize, click resize picture, and choose the screen resolution and it does it all for you. hope that helps looks like you had a good time BTW ATB bigt Edited July 25, 2010 by bigt1754
