Freezer fuse?

I have acquired a small chest freezer which needs a plug. What amp fuse should I use please

a 13 should do . anything less may not hold up to the currant surge of the compressor start up.

if all else fails divide wattage by voltage to give you the amperage , but dont forget the start up surge.

A hairclip or piece of coat hanger wire will do it

think you will find that the coat hanger only works on bathroom electricals

wots the wattage m8 ie 2000 div 230 =8.69 so that would use 9 amps so 13 needed as thats the only one after a 5

I know this post is 10 years late, but I found it via Google so I imagine other people will too.

I have a Bosch under-counter freezer and the specify a 13A fuse for UK mains connection.
