dunganick Posted December 28, 2005 Report Share Posted December 28, 2005 its a common weakness, you would be supprised how many guns get broken whilst away being worked on. Sako 75's are a bit renouned for it, all it needs to do, is slip, in its case onto the floor (from standing on end) and the stock could well break at the pistol grip. other option is to run it over, certainly not unheard of. harryhawk Posted December 29, 2005 Report Share Posted December 29, 2005 When i was keepering me work gun (old Baikal knock around) slipped off the quad and split the stock. Me old man said glue it with castermite and clamp it. Castermite is a cabinate makers old style glue i think.
