unapalomablanca
I had a few minor dents on the stock of my gun and used a steaming towel to try and reduce them. It worked but sadly i have stripped off the lovely wood waxy finish in that area. What can i do to get it back to what it was before? Scully
Are you sure it was a wax finish....most are oil finishes. You can but stock refinishing kits at most gun dealers or through catalogues such as those by John Norris ,William Powel or Deben.Patching-in can be difficuilt unless you have experience and find an exact match. You can also mix your own ,but avoid shellac as it can whiten when wet.
