A mate of mine has an Overland in 12 bore.

It is absolutely gorgeous IMHO.

Pros: It is very, very nice looking, and light as a feather so you wont get tired using it.

Cons: It is light as a feather so you will get beaten to a pulp by it if you have a big day or use heavy shells.

I would happily own and use one :good:

To be honest if you are just starting out I would avoid the Overland because you will get knocked black and blue.

If it is your first gun I would go for one of the standard weight Bettinsolis or a Lanber sporter. You should be able to shoot either all day long without developing a flinch or getting put off by excessive recoil.

The Overland would be a lovely game gun though :good:

IMHO i would steer clear of any bettinsolli. I had one and hated it. For the money you will spend on a new over lander, you could pick up a decent second hand Browning or berreta. Or try a Lanber out. But each to his own in a way. But i would recommend staying away from the bettinsoli range.
