ostrea
Fuel pump on my 2.8 auto 1995 has a shaft broken where the wood ruff key goes for holding the sprocket in place. There seems to be pleanty of second hand ones around but not matching model no even though they look the same. anyone know what the differences are? al4x
nope but call milner off road, and subtly ask them how to check which pump you have as they will know what fits.
Blackbart
Shaft broken ?? Is it a zexel pump ?
ostrea
Yes it is a zexel looks to me as if the wood ruff key has sheered and taken a good chunk of the locating groove with it. I have been able to get a replacement with different numbers for £80 and its on its way to diesel bob for a new shaft seal and calibrate to same spec as my old pump. Good advice there...when my fuel pump went on my V6, they told me, the newer type was £58....my type was over £500!!!!! As the sender unit was incorporated in it... Managed to get it repaired tho'...thank god!!!! Edited August 11, 2010 by Norrie
