Billy.
If you've ever been to Thailand, specifically, Bangkok, you'll notice that in a really really strange way all the same shops are bunched together. There seems to be no competition between them. Scrap dealers are shoulder to shoulder and so are the HIFI shops. They all have their own little area, so if you need a car stereo, you just go to the car stereo area of town. Anyway, this means that all the gun shops are in one area, and boy oh boy are there loads However, one thing which was consistent with all the shops, is that they all stocked and showed in the window that they had CZ 452's and even stressed it by stating so in printed words on the window. So along with the AK47s, SIGs and Walthers (and loads of S/A shotties) there was always a CZ .22LR. ...I seriously didn't expect it and I'm now a little bit prouder to own one Oh and how annoying... They only have BSA and Bushnell scopes I was on the major hunt for a Swaro, but no one had heard of one!! I planned to bring a few back to flog on here, but evidently not Edited August 14, 2010 by Billy.

vole
I was scuba diving around Thailand and tried to explain to the Tuk Tuk driver I needed get to the "Water Sports " shops . I too ended up in Patpong . Even though it only consists of two short streets I was there for 2 days compiling a list of complaints about the immorality of it all. Came away with a bunch of golf balls strangely.
pbickerd
Did any of you go to a range out there? I went to Phuket shooting club and had a play around with some hand guns It was quite expensive though!! Randomly, they have a go cart track there as well and some elephants!? I love Thailand. Billy.
I'll be honest. If I could remember where they were it'd be a miracle. The place is like a maze and every street looks the same. Didn't go to a range, even though they're advertised everywhere here. Ammo prices are through the roof and I've fired handguns before, so I don't need to do that again. Personally I think the ranges here are made to suit the tourist trade and therefore charge through the teeth. If I wanted a cheap range, I'd go to the states. I bought a bag of 50 9mm rounds for a couple of dollars, I recall. It's nearer a £ a shot here.
