groach1234 Posted August 22, 2010 Report Share Posted August 22, 2010 Right I have an MTC viper sat on top of my hmr and always though it was good quality glass. This was until i recently bought my 6.5x55 and put a S&B 8x56 on top of that. Now this has made me realise that the MTC optics are far far inferior to the extent that when i have the cash i would consider selling the MTC and saving up for an S&B for the .17hmr. It has made me bring in to question as to if the MTC's 16x mag is actually 16 as its 12 is very similar to the 8x mag on the S&B I would stick the meopta on the .222 unless it is going to be for real long range vermin shooting in which case the larger mag could be handy.
