Devilishdave
An interesting point I recently read refering to the wearing of a knife is never wear one on the front of the belt in the normal fashon because if the sheath does not have a reinforced liner the blade could cut the stitching and accidently stab you in the leg. This is highly likely to sever the femoural artery which could cause you to bleed to death very quickly. If you wear it on the back of your belt and the same happens you will cut your **** but as there are no vital blood vessals in the area it will only hurt but not kill you. The likely hood is low but I guess you are probably best to ensure you have reinforcing insert for your knife. kip270
Dave, I used to shoot with a guy when i lived in wales, and i used to wear my knives in the normal way. He frowned upon me for doing so and explained why, the reason that you pointed out. Once he showed me how he wore his, as soon as i got home i converted all of my knives to be worn like i have posted.

kip270
Thanks guys. Once you have worn a knife like this, you will never wear one the old way again. It also makes drawing the knife easier because the sheath is more fixed to your waist. Glad i could share this with you. That camera is worth it's weight in gold (other half not impressed, have taken more pics of my guns & knives than i did of the family over xmas :*) )
