bigrob276
hello im needing advice on my webley fx2000, if i put the gun away at 200bar it holds pressure perfectley. if i put it away under 160bar after 2 days it's empty ive tried it 2 or 3 times and the same always happens. if anyone has experienced this or can explain why please let me know as ive only got 1month left on it's warranty and if i take it back im going to be without the gun for months while they repair it...cheers
Beardo
Sounds like it needs a new seal. Easily replaced just go see your local dealer.
bigrob276
that was my first thought but usually when a seals gone the more pressure you apply the more likeley the seal will fail, this is doing the opposite.. my first thought was a worn valve but im new to pcp, spring guns are alot easier to tinker with...lol
oneshotkiller
I'm with nick on this one , pcp's are not like springers and should be taken to a dealer or reputable gun shop if you are not sure what your doing
nick2
chances are that its a tiny piece of debris (dust/hair/grit) on the face of the air cylinder inlet valve (part no 38 on the parts list/diagram on the FX owners site). If you do attempt to strip & clean make sure you have shot all the air out of it. ooh sorry thats the part number for a Cyclone, I will go & see if its the same for yours PART N031 Edited August 30, 2010 by nick2
bruno22rf
As its still under warranty im guessing that you bought it new-in which case do not attempt to fix it at all.Take it back and express your concern that its gone wrong in such a short time and that not having the gun is most inconvenient-the law is on your side so dont take any bull plop.If its losing pressur below a certain point then its not usable (unless the pressure is really low-say 20 bar)-by law they must be given the opportunity to repair the gun but this must be completed to your satisfaction and in a "reasonable" space of time.Next time buy an Air Arms!!!! 6br
it could be dirt behind the exhaust valve, with the extra pressure 200 bar sealing it tight and then when the pressure drops to 160 bar it starts to leak slightly. I serviced a RWS excalibre for a mate very similar to the fx 2000 that had a slight leak and all it needed was a full strip down a good clean and new 0-rings then it was 100%. also adjusted it's power from 10.5 to 11.5 FTLBS. carld41
If its still under warranty get them to sort it. I recently bought a whole seal kit for my Axsor (similar) not in warranty. Was very simple to service and I fine tuned it to 28ftlb with a new hammer spring and transfer port while I was at it. Running sweet a s a nut now
