malkiserow
I've got my visit by the FEO this week coming. What questions did you get asked? What are they looking for with their questions?
apache
Which police force are you under? I'm with North Yorkshire and it was a very informal chat. He asked me what I would do if a shotgun miss-fired and how I would cross an obstacle. Never asked why I wanted either the SGC or FAC. I asked him loads of questions! All they are doing is checking you're not a nutter. There was another bloke on here who was quizzed on choke and proof marks! That seems unusual. malkiserow
It's Warwickshire. SGC not an issue as I've had one for too many years.... the FAC is new to me though.....
njc110381
They will ask questions like "where's my coffee then"? and "got any biscuits?". Seriously though there's not a lot you need to revise. It's not a test to check you know everything about what you're asking for, just that you're an alright bloke and you'll be safe. Relax! Katash
Had my FAC interview the other day, only question he asked was "Did you want a moderator?" .... Was in and out in less than 15 mins and spent most of that time ticking boxes
malkiserow
I thought there might be more on shooting safety etc ... knowledge of footpaths on the permission ... stuff like that
David BASC
One of the main issues will be 'good reason' ie they will check you have land to shoot over etc. But as others have said it is little different to your chat for a SGC. Some forces can be a bit sticky on deer if you have no experience and may want to slap a condition on your certificate like - you can only stalk with an experienced mentor or something like that - if they do then get them to confirm how long the codition will be on the ticket. Just relax, I am sure you will be fine David
