HW682
Hi, hope someone can help me with this. Went out with my HW80 this evening for the first time in quite a while. Set up a target at 20 paces because that is roughly where the scope was last zeroed on an indoor range. It was shooting a fair bit low, so I went to adjust the POI using the top turret. However - it just seemed to turn, no clicking noise and no sign of any adjustement. Tried pushing down and pulling up slightly when turning in case it has a "clutch" type mechanism to avoid accidental movement? The outer ring turns, but not the inner part with the writing on. As I said, I haven't used it for a while so I am not sure whether I am just doing something stupid or missing the obvious - or is it faulty. Is it just a case of tightening the two small screws in the top of the turret? Is it a well known problem and if so is it repairable? Cheers HW682
HW682
Uttings have 15% off this weekend, so not a bad time if I need a new one. If anyone has this scope or is familiar with it - could you just confirm whether the turret should adjust with a simple turn or not. Is mine broke? Thanks HW682
pigglet
If it looks like that and the top turret is held on by 2 screws then the whole top turret should turn and click as it goes.
HW682
Thanks for the reply Pigglet. Yep that is the one. When I turn the ridged or knurled outer bit, the inner part (with the two small screws) doesn't move. Cheers
Cannon
Try tightening up the two screws. Had a similar problem with my Hawke scope and that's what fixed it. If this doesn't work you should take advantage of Hawke's famous warranty :look:

If this doesn't work you should take advantage of Hawke's famous warranty :look: I'll give that a try. When browsing for a new one I had spotted the 10 year warranty on the website. Had it about 2.5 years as a guess, so I will look into it. Thanks :look:
