Glensman
Hi All, Need a bit of advice. Basically, I zeroed my 10/22 with some new ammo last week with fantastic results. Was delighted with how the gun was shooting. Anyway when I went to take the gun out 2 days ago the zero had shifted about 6 inches to the right. The scope is a brand new Simmons WTC, so I don't think it's to blame. The mounts are these: https://www.volquartsen.com/pictures/43-nov...ope-rings-black The mounts were fitted with Loctite 3 weeks ago and the rings were aligned first. So i'm blaming the bases basically. (they were fitted by the gunshop, so might be pants) So to cut the story a bit shorter.... Which one-piece weaver base do you recommend?? Graham M
Have you checked that the barrel screws are tight G.M.

garyb
Even cheap bases shouldn't cause issues like that providing they are tight. I'd troubleshoot everything else (mod, ammo, bipod, scope etc) too.
Glensman
Well I went ahead and ordered Volquartsen bases from america... hopefully the bases are the cause!
Graham M
I didn’t mean the action screw, I meant the screw holding the barrel block in place. This can only be checked by taking off the stock and looking under the barrel at the front of the action. You will see a block that holds the barrel into the front of the stock and if the screw has come loose it will cause the barrel to be loose as well which will lead to alls sorts of accuracy problems. I knew what you meant mate, but I know that they're tight, checked them a couple of weeks ago when I mounted the scope... Think I'm gonna stick with blamin the bases for now...
