twitchynik
Just picked up a 686 Beretta (late eighties vintage with some lovely wood) but as I was shooting down at the playground I started to feel a slight knocking on the foreend. Didn't feel it in the shop. No other problems with it apart from a few minor dings on the stock which aren't a problem. Have to say I thought the service was great and very helpful. Am wondering what can be done to fix it? I did feel a much looser foreend on another gun in the shop and the dealer said that a gunsmith would be able to sort it. So over to you, wonderful PW world for your thoughts! Can it be sorted? Should I take it back? Is it anything to worry about? Thanks! Oh yeah, the skeet setup at A1 is coming along. They were laying blocks on the low tower today. Can't be too far off now.
the_commoner
take the foreend off and turn it upsdie down, inside you will see a couple of screws make sure they are tight, i have the same problem with mine, they work loose over time and i have to tighten them up, might be the same thing ?? COACH
Yep! if not a smithy can fix it in a wink of an eye, it`s not a major problem.

HARRIS
i know it bares no comparison to a beretta but on my lanber when the forend had some very slight movement a few little bits of insulation tape on top of one another did the trick. Maybe worth a try if all else fails
