The Pest Expert Posted September 30, 2010 Report Share Posted September 30, 2010 hiya was just wondering what can be done about doves and pigeons just we got chickens in our garden and the cheeky ********* come down and nick there food any surgestions ?? just when ever i look out side theres like 5 in my garden helping there slevs Not sure if its worth getting the rifle out or are doves not ment to be shot ?? borntoshoot Posted September 30, 2010 Report Share Posted September 30, 2010 Yes you can shoot pigeons and doves in your garden legally as long as you meet the terms of the general licence which in your case they are by risking the health of livestock and humans by crapping in the chicken feed and potentially on eggs. Just make sure you shoot either from an elivated position (upstairs windown shooting into the ground should you miss is ideal) or you have a back stop behind the run ( a brick wall or bank of earth for example) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
