Redgum
The trigger engages the sear to much so it has to travel alongway before release. Its not along way in real terms but on a trigger when your firing it seems like a mile. If you do not know how a trigger works imagine it like setting one of the old little nipper mouse traps, the finer its set the easier it will go off and visa versa. The rimfire kit does an excellent job for the money but whatever you do don't attempt to alter the sear itself unless your a gunsmith. If your pulling the trigger right back and its not releasing then you have a trigger problem or bolt sticking prob which unless you have a bit of knowledge let a gunsmith have alook at it. kent
Most of the issues with the CZ rimfire triggers are in the mind of the shooter, the centrefires with set triggers are i admit terrible when used unset. The rimfire triggers are usuable from the box after 500-1000 rounds they are sweet. The problem you hint at sounds more like a light stike that is most likely a faulty round or a bolt issue (muck inside the bolt impinging the striker being the most likely IMO ) Nothing to do with the trigger

Bags of creep won't go with use, but you may get used to it. Well set up these std triggers can be sweet but I have never experienced them getting that way on their own. Is it an old or new gun, taking the bolt apart is easy enough if you have an instruction manual.

THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
Click & mark on the base of the case ? Light strike, naff ammo or sticky fireing pin. Turn the bullet round for a fresh strike area to be hit. No click, no mark on the base of the case ? You either didn't pull the trigger enough or something is stcking. Fire about 500 rounds from new to smooth things down, save empty cases & dry fire while watchin the telly helps. That will help with the sear or the side plates on the trigger wearing down minute rough edges. Sticky fireing pin through anti rust gunk from the factory in the bolt ? Remove the bolt, grab the body & drop the handle down. You'll see the fireing pin through the hole, raise the bolt handle & the pin will retract. Flush it out as seen here.. http://www.youtube.com/user/gunvidder?feat...133/7Zb7BZ1FKKg Easier than a strip & clean as seen here. CZ BOLT STRIPDOWN. And just in case your curious or the mag' plays up. MAG STRIPDOWN. And for any one thinking of doing a trigger spring upgrade. kyska
The vid of the bolt flush and strip is very useful, I've never attempted it. I did have to laugh at the accent though, when he suggested using any lubri**** @ about 1.00 or so. Edited October 4, 2010 by kyska

I have had my .22 for ages and it got better and better, when i bought the HMR i struggled a bit in comparisom but it is now well run in and loads better indeed i culd say it was now "sweet", so there is two for starters. I can't say the same for thier centrefire triggers, doubtless someone will have a good un but every one i have come across was pretty much pants the holder of the worst trigger ever was a .375 h&h felt like it was made by a blind blacksmith when not in the "set" mode
