activeviii Posted October 3, 2010 Report Share Posted October 3, 2010 nice job there. i just drilled out the antler and pours lead in but it had only just melted. it was fine. i was going to drill out to 15mm and then get a bit of copper pipe, fill with lead then araldite in to antler but the other was worked fine so i didn't try the copper tube. nic Posted October 4, 2010 Report Share Posted October 4, 2010 I hold the stick in a vice, with a piece of angle iron angled slightly down . lead placed on angle iron and melted with blow torch. as it melts, it rolls down into stick ... never had a problem with burning.... same method for priests as well.
