big bad lindz
Hi All, Can anyone tell me what, in law, is the definition of armed trespass. As most of you readers will know there are not many places that you cannot get access to in Scotland but I would like to find out what armed trespass actually means. I have permission to shot on a number of fields around where I live and I access the foreshore at various places around the Dornoch Firth for wildfowling. Unless I am doing a walked up or in a hide in the fields my gun is always in the slip when I walk down the public pathways to access the area where I shoot. Likewise when I am walking to and from the foreshore. I know that we are not all up to speed with legal speak but I am sure someone out there will be. I also dont know if the definitions will be different under Scots law. Thanks in advance BBL (I hope this will not open up a can of worms.) HW682
This might be of interest if you haven't read it already.. BASC factsheet for Scotland edit: previous reply posted while I was typing. There are differences I believe between England / Wales and Scotland.
