Vulcha
Right, my mates Air Arms S400 has a problem. It won't hold pressure. You can charge it up but leave it over night and it'll have no pressure left by the morning. Any ideas whats causing this? It hasn't been used in a while, so maybe its the o-seals or something? Any feedback on this would be great!

Pop it along to a gun shop mate. I doubt it will cost much to sort out. You could ring AA direct if you are capable of carrying out repairs. I believe you can download the manual from their website if you don't have one. Good luck, Mick
6br
sounds like it needs a full service, strip clean and replace all the 0-rings, but don't get paying silly prices at gun shops or what AA charge, I can supply you with a service 0-ring kit or service it for you at half the price they charge. jonesbach
try giving it a blast from the air bottle when filling first, instead of slowly releasing pressure to fill, this should 'blow' the seal back into place and make it sit and hold pressure again. my mate had the same issue with his AA and this solved it..seems a common problem, others on here and another forum experienced same problem. a full service wont do any harm though, just ask what the charge before they start! turbo33
But before all of that.... make sure its completely empty of air and see if you can unscrew (with a firm grip) the air reserviour. Take a look at the 'O' ring thats still on the action end. If all looks ok, give it a slight smear with silicone grease and tighten back up. Whilst its off, disassemble/clean the fill end and make sure there is no dirt/grit in the valve. Often sorts this problem. Good luck. Vulcha
Any idea what size the o seals are? Every o seal, that is!
6br
Don't know the sizes of the 0-rings just the part code numbers, we do the full 0-ring service kit which includes every seal in the gun 15 seals and will service s410/s400 s310/s300 s510/TDR. I would take this advice my mate just paid 127 quid for a service and new seal kit at a local gunsmith
6br
Hi fluke2 that's a bit over the going rate, airarms charge around £90.00, I can do the service and chronograph report for less then half that. or supply a seal kit for £8.00.
