beatingisbest
Does anyone else find that you get more pheasants on cold days? I reckon it is because they want to get up and moving to get warm. Thanks
waddy
Pheasants are predictable depending on the weather conditions. On a colder day they will be in the cover, this is where we drive them from, similarly on a warmer day they will be in the open, sunning themselves and feeding. Cold and wet means they sit tighter in the cover and take more persuading. They don't fly out of choice, even when cold. They will use more energy this way, sometihng they would rather preserve.
