Drdoug
Hi all, I just bought a Hatsan Escort 12g as a pigeon/rough/goose gun. I am just looking for some advise on what choke I should use for pigeon and what I should use for goose. It comes with 5 chokes - Skeet, Improved cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified and Full. I was thinking using the Modified for pigeon and improved modified or full for goose. Does this sound right ? Cheers Dr Doug

poontang
Imp Cyl or Mod should be fine for pigeons. Your problems could start with the geese. What size chamber does the gun have? Are you going to be using steel?
mickmep
as has been said, improved cylinder for pigeons. if your using steel most dont recomend going any tighter than modified, you may find the improved modified and full are NOT steel proof. personally use improved cylinder (1/4) for just about everything. Drdoug
Its got a 3" chamber and I would be using lead as shooting over land.

Drdoug
In Scotland you can use lead if you shooting over land ! As for the choke tubes, just checked and it says that only full cannot be used with steel !
