wymberley
Hi, Guys, Could anyone please offer me any advice to pass on to my shooting oppo? He shoots NV, Gen 2+ with integeral IR illuminator, but wants to increase the IR capability for those really dark nights. He is looking at two options; one to get a large IR lamp for a mate (me I suppose) to "light" the area while he uses the scope - I can see pitfalls here, or, two, to fit a small lamp - say, tracer atom with a filter fitted - to his sight/rifle. He knows that the filter is available (£28). Personally, I'm doubtful about the first option, but any comments would be welcome particularly regarding potential effective ranges. Cheers, Phil
Markio
Get an IR filter on the front of a standard lamp . It will make a difference to the IR scope user. I think you can buy the sheets and cut to fit quite cheap.
