It's up to him what he spends his money on but if he actaully wants to hit what he's shooting at he'd be better off looking at other makes! I've owned nothing but SMK Hatsan and Gammo rifles for 25 years and I've never had an issue both target shooting or hunting with any of them! In fact, I had a SMK db12 custom and that could drop pheasants and rabbits from 35-40 yards. It's all about getting used to the rifles, wearing them in, keeping them greased and oiled and finding the pellets that work best with the barrel you have to work with.
