If shooting up to 150yards then consider the .22c/f Hornet ,35gn v-max with 13gns (ok, njc, in your case 12.8)Lil'Gun powder.works wonders :good: My reason for suggesting the Hornet is because IMO it's the most under rated c/f on the market,better than a .17hmr. over three times the energy,twice the bullet weight and as cheap or cheaper than the .17 hmr to supply with ammo(if you reload)

thanks,, iam not really in to home loading so would the bullets be easy to get hold of from a gun shop?

I wouldn't touch the Hornet if you don't want to home load! :good:

 

Is there any chance of Deer in the future or are you not really interested? If not then the triple really is worth a look. It's the next step up from the Hornet and a lovely little round. My mate has one and I was very pleasantly surprised by it when I shot it the other day. At 50 long paces I fired two bullets through the same hole that closely you had to really look hard to tell it wasn't just the one shot!

the deer are sorted out by someone else,, i would look to do it in the future but not at the mo,, so i should look in to getting a 222 should i?
