Argyle single 12b shotgun

Hi all,

just got myself a new toy in the form of an Argyle 12b single barrel shotgun. I'm going to strip it down and get it looking nice again.

Does anybody here use one ? or have any photos of one in original condition ? I could really do with an exploded diagram of parts, and would appreciate any views or tips in restoring it.

Thanks, and regards,

Timb

I had one back around 1973. A good little gun. I bought it from my mums mail order catalogue. Littlewoods or the like. Despite the name they were made by a company down in the West Country nothing to do with Scotland despite the name. Action was blacked aluminium, with a top toggle opening cocking. Full choke as standard.

Vince,

Thanks for getting back to me. Do you recall the correct finish on the barrel ? Was it blued or browned ?

Also did it eject all the time ? Mine ejects a shell whether or not it has been fired, and I wonder if this is correct ?

Thanks again, regards,
